AI-Assisted Session Disclosure

Sessions on Variobloom are led by Aria, an AI companion — not a human, and not a licensed therapist, psychologist, special educator, or medical professional. Aria is powered by third-party AI language models and, for story illustrations, AI image-generation models.

Aria's sessions are designed to support learning, communication practice, and emotional regulation in a way that complements your child's human care team.

• They are not therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment.
• They do not replace your child's therapist, doctor, or educator.
• Aria's responses are AI-generated and can occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or a poor fit for your child — a human should always stay in the loop on important decisions.

You (the parent) can review session records, and any therapists or teachers you invite can review sessions with your consent. Safety-sensitive moments — signs of distress, unsafe topics — are flagged to you through safety alerts, which are never switched off by any preference. AI-drafted clinical artefacts (session notes, goal drafts) are always reviewed and approved by a human clinician before they take effect.

What Aria keeps and remembers is set by your choices in Privacy & Consent — saved transcripts, therapy session recordings, Aria's memory between sessions and care-team sharing each have their own switch. Turning off saved transcripts or Aria's memory ends any session in progress and deletes what was kept straight away; without saved transcripts, the written record of each session is still made while it runs and deleted a day or two after it ends. Details are in our Privacy Policy. Your child's data is never used to train external AI models.

By accepting this disclosure you confirm that you understand:

• your child's sessions are AI-assisted, as described above;
• Aria is a support tool, not a clinician; and
• you remain responsible for decisions about your child's care, together with qualified professionals.
